We're Coming to Fruitland Park - and We'd Love to See You There

At ActualSignal, we believe that living well with Parkinson's starts with knowledge, community, and connection. That's why we're proud to share that we are partnering with the Neuro Challenge Foundation for Parkinson's on a free Parkinson's Seminar in Fruitland Park, Florida. Neuro Challenge has spent years living up to its promise to the Parkinson's community - You'll Never Walk Alone - and we're honored to stand alongside them for this event.

This free educational program is open to people with Parkinson's and their care partners. At its heart are two neurologists who treat Parkinson's every day in Central Florida, joined by voices from the caregiver and care-advising community. It's a rare chance to hear directly from the physicians, ask your questions, and connect with others who understand the journey.

Meet the Neurologists

Jaivir S. Rathore, MD, FAES, FAAN, FRCP opens the program with "From the Days of 'Shaking Palsy' to the New Frontiers in Parkinson's Disease" - a journey from James Parkinson's original 1817 description of the "shaking palsy" to where diagnosis and treatment stand today, and where they are heading next.

Dr. Rathore is the Medical Director of DocJ's Advanced Neurology, leading its clinics in Orlando and The Villages, and serves as Assistant Professor of Neurology at the University of Central Florida College of Medicine. He is a Fellow of the American Epilepsy Society (FAES), a Fellow of the American Academy of Neurology (FAAN), and a Fellow of the Royal College of Physicians (FRCP). For people with Parkinson's across Lake, Sumter, and Orange counties, his clinics are where much of the day-to-day care actually happens, and DocJ's Advanced Neurology is one of the practices we are proud to work with at ActualSignal. Hearing him frame the past, present, and future of Parkinson's care in one talk is reason enough to come.

Jay Rubin, MD is board-certified in Neurology and Sleep Medicine and an Assistant Professor of Neurology at the University of Central Florida. Sleep problems are among the most common and most under-discussed non-motor symptoms of Parkinson's, so his dual expertise is especially relevant to this audience. Dr. Rubin presents "Digital Neurology, Human Touch: Technology and Parkinson's" together with Debbie Brazill, Vice President of Operations at ActualSignal - a clinician's view and an operator's view on what remote monitoring can and cannot do between visits.

Also on the Program

• "Advocacy: Caring for the Caregiver" - Amy Cearley, Owner, Tri-County Caregiver Resource Center
• "Care Advising: You'll Never Walk Alone" - April Moschini, Program Director, Neuro Challenge Foundation for Parkinson's

Together, the four sessions cover the full picture of Parkinson's care - the clinical, the human, and the practical.

Why This Matters to Us

ActualSignal exists to support neurologists like Dr. Rathore and Dr. Rubin. Our mission has always been to make sure that no one living with Parkinson's feels unseen or unmonitored between clinic visits - and that the neurologist walks into every appointment already knowing how the patient has really been doing. Technology is only part of that equation. What matters is what it makes possible: earlier conversations, better-informed visits, and more human attention where it counts.

That is why the session title Digital Neurology, Human Touch says so much about how we see our work, and why we're glad Debbie will be sharing the stage with Dr. Rubin. We're grateful to Neuro Challenge for bringing the Parkinson's community in Lake County together, and proud to be part of the day.
